Detail : Rammed amidships by wooden lumber hooker JACK (see BOTHNIA), and sank
in 180 feet of water in 3 minutes. Eyewitnesses said both vessels were running at high speed in the heavy fog, but both denied it. Survivors were picked up from life rafts by the small steamer M. SICKEN(qv). A very expensive salvage expedition failed to raise her in '96.
